    Now back on his feet, Tatsu brushed the dirt off the back of his pants before looking at the Mega Tyranitar as it searched for them. “Okay, we need to come up with a plan as quickly as possible,” said Tatsu before he looked at Hanako. “Got any ideas?”

    “Um…Well…,”

    “I have an idea,” said Riviére as she reached into her purse.

    “What’s that?” asked Tatsu.

    “Hit it as hard as we can!” she said bluntly as she withdrew her four Poké Balls and tossed them into the air. Her Blastoise, Vaporeon, Gyarados, and Feraligator materialized on the ground in front of her. She then touched her Key Stone and it glowed brightly. A dark blue aura surrounded her as her Blastoise became encased in a dark blue orb. As the light disbursed, Mega Blastoise roared as his power surged.

    The light from Blastoise’s Mega Evolution notified their location to Mega Tyranitar. Seeing them as challengers to his territory, Mega Tyranitar opened his jaws and charged for a Hyper Beam before firing it directly at them. Mega Blastoise roared as he aimed his giant cannon at the Hyper Beam and use Hydro Cannon. The powerful beam and stream of pressurized water collided in midair and cancelled each other out.

    Riviére reached into her purse for the Gyaradosite. Hanako noticed this as she saw Riviére run over to Gyarados and place it on his scales. “Riviére, what are you doing!” she yelled at her as Riviére touched her Key Stone. “Mega Evolving more than one Pokémon at a time can kill you!”

    “We need all the power we can muster to defeat this Pokémon,” argued Riviére as the dark blue aura flared up around her once more. The Gyaradosite shined brightly as Gyarados became engulfed in the same orb Blastoise had to achieve Mega Evolution. Once the energy ball disbursed, Mega Gyarados towered over them as he roared. He was longer than the Mega Tyranitar was tall. The Gyarados lunged forward towards the Mega Tyranitar to challenge him directly. Riviére climbed onto Feraligator’s back and they, along with Vaporeon, charged forward.

    Hanako sighed in frustration as she looked at Tatsu. “We’ll need you to Mega Evolve Charizard too, Tatsu,” said Hanako as she reached into her purse for her remaining Poké Balls.

    “I don’t think I can,” said Tatsu as he unsheathed his sword to show Hanako the dim Key Stone. “Natsu blew up the S.S. Golem. I think he was either gravely injured or used up too much power. It’ll be a while before he’ll regain the strength to Mega Evolve Charizard.”

    “Well that’s just great,” said Hanako, her temper flaring. She took out her four Poké Balls and gave them a firm toss. Venusaur, Exeggutor, Leafeon, and Meganium materialized beside them. Hanako turned to Venusaur and waved her Key Stone Staff, which the Key Stone began to glow. Her Venusaur became engulfed in a green orb of energy as the Venusaurite activated. A moment later, the energy ball faded and Mega Venusaur stepped out of the light.

    “Leafeon, I’ll need you to join Arcanine and Riviére for a physical assault. Stay safe, okay?” said Hanako as she bent over and kissed her Leafeon on the head.

    “Leaf!” said Leafeon as she and Arcanine raced after Riviére. Flareon tried to run after them, but his leg was badly injured from the fall.

    “No, said Tatsu as he bent over to examine Flareon, “You’re too injured to fight.”

    “Flare!” said the Flareon angrily as he tried to pull away from Tatsu and join the fight.

    “Come on, you can’t fight with your leg hurt!”

    “Tatsu, here,” said Hanako as she walked over and took out a Full Restore. “I’ll work on healing Flareon’s leg. Venusaur, Charizard, Meganium, Exeggutor should use Solar Beam as long range support while Blastoise uses Hydro Cannon. Do you have any other Pokémon that can fight?”

    “Just Typhlosion,” said Tatsu as he reached into his pocket for her Poké Ball.

    “Good, we’ll need her help,” said Hanako as she sprayed the full heal on Flareon’s wound.

    Meanwhile, the Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados glared at each other as they marked their territory. With a furious roar, Mega Gyarados lunged forward and bit hard into the right shoulder of Mega Tyranitar, the fangs crunching into the impervious armor. Mega Gyarados attempted to coil around Mega Tyranitar, but the long spikes prevented him from fully being able to wrap around him. With tremendous force, Mega Tyranitar slammed Mega Gyarados hard into the cliffside. Mega Gyarados cried out in pain as he was slammed into the cliffside, causing the entire cliff to crumble onto them.

    Large boulders fell as the cliff broke apart from the sheer force of the two Mega Pokémon colliding into the rocky face. A large boulder broke off and slammed hard onto Mega Gyarados. The Armor Pokémon stepped back in time to avoid being buried in rubble and watched Mega Gyarados being submerged in stone. With a mighty roar, Mega Tyranitar proclaimed his victory over Mega Gyarados.

    “Gyarados!” cried out Riviére as she witnessed her Gyarados being buried by the crumbled cliffside. She glared as she saw Arcanine and Leafeon run beside Vaporeon and Feraligator. “All right, Leafeon, use Leaf Blade! Arcanine, use Close Combat!”

    Leafeon and Arcanine charged forward towards the right leg of the Armor Pokémon. Arcanine slammed into his thigh with tremendous force as Leafeon sliced at the ankle with her leafy tail. Mega Tyranitar growled in pain as he looked down at the two. Angered that they dare struck him, Mega Tyranitar once again tried to stomp them to death. Before he could however, five Solar Beams and a Hydro Cannon blasted the side of Mega Tyranitar as he lifted one leg up.

    The Armor Pokémon cried out in pain as he tumbled down onto the ground. The force of the Mega Tyranitar hitting the ground caused a small earthquake to shake the entire island. It was far from done however, as he immediately leaned forward and saw the Pokémon responsible for the sneak attack. Furious, the Mega Tyranitar opened his jaws and fired a partially charged Hyper Beam towards them.

    “No!” yelled Riviére as she witnessed the beam soar towards them. She watched in horror as the area they were at exploded; a giant dust cloud of debris was flung into the air.

    Tatsu coughed as Hanako lay on top of him. It was hard to breath and he could hardly see inside the dust cloud. As he tried to sit up, he felt vines wrap around him and Hanako. Mega Venusaur lifted them onto his back and hobbled out of the dust cloud. While the Hyper Beam barely missed where they were all at, the force of the blast had knocked most of them a few dozen yards away.

    Exeggutor was knocked unconscious and suffered a grievous wound to his stomach. Meganium was already using Heal Pulse to heal the wound before she died. Meganium suffered a large cut to her front leg, but it was already healing due to Synthesis. Typhlosion had grabbed Flareon just in time to avoid getting hit, but they were badly hurt and lay next to Charizard. Charizard had suffered a nasty cut on his leg, which bled profusely. Blastoise was laying on his stomach, having fainted from being nearest to the blast site. He was no longer in Mega Form.

    “Damn it,” said Tatsu as he looked at Hanako. “Hanako, are you all right?”

    “I-I’m okay…” said Hanako as she rubbed her head. “Good thing I used Protect…I think we’d be hurt a lot worse than we are now if I didn’t.”

    “We need to check on our Pokémon. We’re running out of time.”

    “Hopefully Riviére is doing better than we are…” she said as Hanako slipped off Mega Venusaur to check on their wounded Pokémon.

    “Feraligator, use Dragon Claw!” ordered Riviére as she stood on a boulder. Feraligator rushed towards the Mega Tyranitar as he tried to get to his feet. Feraligator jumped as high as she could and swiped at his face. The claw marks barely made a scratch as they ran along the thick armored plate of Mega Tyranitar. Furious, the Mega Tyranitar lunged her head forward with jaws opened wide and enclosed them around Feraligator’s waist.

    “No! Feraligator!” cried Riviére in horror as Mega Tyranitar lifted his head high off the ground with Feraligator trapped between her massive fangs. Feraligator tried desperately to pull herself out with her hind legs, whipping her tail from side to side. Before the Mega Tyranitar could clamp down, Arcanine leaped up and hit Mega Tyranitar in the face with Wild Charge. Mega Tyranitar dropped Feraligator from her jaws and she landed hard on the ground with a loud thud. Riviére returned her to her Poké Ball as quickly as she could to avoid the Tyranitar going after her again.

    The Armor Pokémon glared at the Arcanine as he wearily stared him down. Fed up with having to deal with him, Mega Tyranitar swiped at Arcanine with his massive claws. Too tired to dodge the attack, the swipe connected with Arcanine’s side and sent him flying into the cliffside. The force of the claws and the rocky cliff knocked him unconscious.

    Mega Tyranitar rolled over to his stomach and began to stand up. He toward over the fallen Arcanine. With an evil glare, the Mega Tyranitar opened his jaws for a fully charged Hyper Beam. Vaporeon jumped between them and use Hydro Pump to hit Mega Tyranitar in the face. The Mega Tyranitar stumbled back and attempted to shield his face from the powerful stream of water. He then turned suddenly to the opposite direction and swung his massive tail towards Vaporeon. She used Acid Armor to melt into a pool of water just in time to miss the attack.

    Leafeon jumped onto his tail after it hit a large boulder and began to run along his backside. She then jumped and used Leaf Blade to strike the back of Mega Tyranitar. He roared in pain as he violently shook his back. The lower right spike on his back hit Leafeon and her back. Before she could hit the ground, she was returned to her Poké Ball by Hanako as she and Tatsu flew overhead on Charizard’s back.

    “Do you see Riviére anywhere?” asked Tatsu.

    “There!” said Hanako as she pointed at a boulder near where Vaporeon had use Acid Armor.

    “Charizard, make a swing down towards Riviére!” ordered Tatsu.

    Seeing Charizard make the dive, Tyranitar attempted to use another Hyper Beam to vaporize them. The beam missed them by inches as Charizard swooped down and Tatsu grabbed Riviére’s outstretched arm. He hoisted her onto Charizard’s back as the he flew the three of them away from the Mega Tyranitar. Tatsu saw Arcanine lay unconscious near the rubble and used the opportunity to return him to his Poké Ball from a distance. Riviére also returned Vaporeon as the Mega Tyranitar tried to stomp her to death as she ran away.

    “Damn it, we’re running out of options,” said Tatsu.

    “We’re not done yet!” said Hanako as she pointed at the Mega Tyranitar. Long green energy tentacles began to wrap around the Mega Tyranitar’s legs and up his body. The Mega Tyranitar took notice and tried to pull out of them, but it was too late. The Frenzy Plant took hold of the Mega Tyranitar and began to constrict around his throat. Despite the strong hold, Mega Tyranitar furiously fought against the tightening grip.

    The rubble where Mega Gyarados was buried under began to shift as the Atrocious Pokémon powered through the boulders. The two Mega Pokémon locked eyes and roared at each other deafeningly. Mega Tyranitar opened his jaws in attempt to fire another Hyper Beam at Mega Gyarados, but the green energy tentacles wrapped around his jaws and held them firmly closed.

    Mega Gyarados took the opportunity to strike. He engulfed himself in a thick jet of water and launched himself at the Mega Tyranitar with a Waterfall technique. The savage strike hit the Mega Tyranitar square in the chest, causing the plate of armor to crack. The breath was knocked out of the Mega Tyranitar from the sheer force of Mega Gyarados slamming his head hard into his chest. The pupils of Mega Tyranitar went white as his body became limp, only held up from the Frenzy Plant of Venusaur. The energy tentacles dissipated a moment later and Mega Tyranitar came crashing down.

    The island rattled from the force of Mega Tyranitar falling to the ground. Mega Gyarados slithered on top of the Mega Tyranitar and gave a mighty roar of victory before reverting to his normal state.

    “Finally, it’s done,” said Hanako as Charizard soared above.

    “Yeah…That was tiring,” said Riviére sleepily as she became weak.

    Tatsu wrapped his arms around her waist and had her lean against him. “That’s because you Mega Evolved two Pokémon at once. Hanako told you that you shouldn’t do that.”

    “Oops, my bad…,” Riviére said weakly. “Where is my Blastoise? I need to see if he is okay…”

    “I got him here,” said Hanako as Charizard landed beside Meganium and Venusaur, who had also reverted to his normal form.

    “Thanks,” said Riviére as Tatsu helped Riviére down from Charizard. Gyarados slithered over to check on his trainer. “You did awesome, Gyarados,” said Riviére weakly. “I’m so proud of you.”

    Gyarados gave Riviére a low growl as he leaned over to nuzzle her.

    “All of our Pokémon did fantastic,” said Hanako weakly as she walked over to a fatigued Meganium and Venusaur.

    “Agreed,” said a deep voice from behind them.

    They turned and saw Arceus standing gracefully in the open in his true form. Tatsu and Riviére were stunned, never having met Arceus. Hanako approached him and said, “You were watching us?”

    “I was,” he said proudly. “Today marked a major victory. You’ve dealt a major blow to Team Rocket today, and stopped a powerful Pokémon from wreaking havoc on the island.”

    “Speaking of which…,” said Hanako as she looked over to the mass of the unconscious Mega Tyranitar. “He can’t stay here. Once he wakes up, he’ll try to claim the island for himself.”

    “I will move him back onto Quest Island, his true home,” said the Arceus as he turned and walked towards the Mega Tyranitar. Tatsu, the girls, and their able-bodied Pokémon followed the Alpha Pokémon. When Arceus approached the unconscious Pokémon, he reached forward with his leg and tapped on his armor. The body of Mega Tyranitar then began to dissolve into particles of golden light. They watched in awe as the Mega Tyranitar disappeared.

    “There. He is where he belongs now,” said Arceus as he turned to face them. “I also came here for another reason.”

    “What’s that?” asked Hanako.

    “In one month, the Mewtwo will awaken and savagely attack the land,” warned Arceus. “You must be ready to face them at a moment’s notice.”

    “We only have a month?” asked Riviére. “Do we have the time to prepare for that?”

    “I think we can, if we train as hard as we can,” said Tatsu. “We just took down a Mega Tyranitar. I don’t think even Mewtwo could overcome it on his own.”

    “Arceus? Are we ready to face them? Can we win?” asked Hanako urgently.

    Arceus didn’t answer. He merely looked at them before he turned away. Without an answer, his body began to dissolve much like Mega Tyranitar’s body did.

    “Hey, you didn’t answer us!” said Riviére before his body had entirely dissolved.

    Hanako sighed heavily. A moment later, she heard a voice call from above.

    “Hanako! Riviére!” shouted Alexander and Leokane as they rode on the back of his Staraptor. The Staraptor landed where Arceus stood just moments before. Alexander and Leokane jumped off and approached them. He pulled Hanako and Riviére into a tight hug before he released them. “What happened here?”

    “It’s a long story,” said Riviére tiredly.

    “Long story short, Team Rocket used a Mega Tyranitar and it started to rampage to the city. We stopped it before it could get there,” said Tatsu.

    “Where is it?” asked Alexander as he looked around and surveyed the massive damage to the environment.

    “Arceus took it away and brought it back to Quest Island, where we encountered it the first time,” said Hanako.

    “That’s incredible…” said Alexander in disbelief.

    “We couldn’t have done it without Tatsu,” said Riviére as she, Hanako, and Alexander looked at Tatsu and Leokane. “So…I guess you’re going back to Team Rocket?”

    Leokane and Tatsu looked at each other and shook their heads.

    “Nah. I sort of kicked myself out when I refused to obey orders from my father,” admitted Tatsu.

    “Since Tatsu’s out, I’m not going back,” Leokane added.

    The girls beamed at them. Hanako hugged Leokane as Riviére hugged Tatsu. “We’re glad to see you back,” said Hanako to Leokane.

    “Don’t ever leave us again,” said Riviére to Tatsu as she kissed him on the cheek.

    “We should get going,” said Alexander as he pet his Staraptor. “Cianwood has suffered a lot of damage. They’ll need our help rebuilding and cleaning the city.”

    Leokane got onto Staraptor with Alexander and they flew off. Tatsu and the girls climbed onto Gyarados’ back after they returned Charizard, Venusaur, and Meganium back to their Poké Balls.

    “Oh, Tatsu,” said Riviére as Gyarados took off.

    “Yeah?” said Tatsu nauseously as Gyarados took flight, holding tightly onto his fin.

    “You are aware of Hanako and I dating, right?” she asked.

    “I am,” replied Tatsu.

    “Now that you’re back with us, where you belong, I think we should date too.”

    “Huh?” asked a surprised Hanako. “You mean the three of us together?”

    “Why not?” asked Riviére happily. “It’s obvious that we both have feelings for Tatsu,” said Riviére to Hanako. “So instead of getting this all complicated, why don’t we just all openly date each other? That is, unless Tatsu doesn’t have feelings for us as we do for him…,” said Riviére coyly.

    “I-I do,” said Tatsu, his face glowing red.

    “Then it’s settled then. From now on, it’s the three of us together, fighting the world!” said Riviére happily as Gyarados flew off with them into the sunset.
